Speaker Bio
Part of my mission in life is to offer a universe of resources. As such, I created InternQube.com – chosen as one of the “Top 100 Websites for Your Career” by Forbes Magazine – and wrote the companion book – InternQube: Professional Skills for the Workplace. These resources help student interns to learn professional skills, grow, and succeed.
For employers, I produced a booklet “Starting and Maintaining A Quality Internship Program,” which is currently used by hundreds of universities, employers and chambers of commerce across the U.S. and internationally. For my professional colleagues, I created and manage the Internship-Net listserv of over 1,400 internship professionals throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
Over the years I have been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, NY Times, U.S. News & World Report, Business Week, Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, Newsday, ProPublica, San Francisco Appeal, and other publications.
Partnering with professionals in business and education to solve problems and move projects forward is something I very much enjoy. As well, I serve as a keynote speaker and workshop presenter at schools and businesses across the country. It has been and continues to be, a pleasure to serve on advisory boards for some great, national organizations. I am honored to be the recipient of several top awards and distinctions from professional organizations. Details can be found in the “About” section of InternQube.com. Oh, and…I conduct fun and engaging professional etiquette dinners on a regular basis for over a dozen colleges and universities!
