Speaker Bio
Dr. Joanie B. Connell is an organizational consultant and leadership coach who specializes in maximizing leadership potential. She works with companies to attract, develop, and retain top talent. She works with individuals to improve their success and happiness in their careers. She is also an author of the book “Flying without a Helicopter: How to Prepare Young People for Work and Life.”
She coaches people at all levels—executives, managers, employees, and students who are in search of a career. She excels at helping technical people develop interpersonal and influencing skills. She also has a passion for helping people develop self-insight and leverage their strengths and passion in life to be successful in whatever they do.
In addition, Joanie has had several years’ experience working as an electrical engineer and consultant for a variety of high-tech companies, including Cisco Systems, Tandem Computers, and Cypress Semiconductor and as a professor at The Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego.
